I had an enzyme therapy treatment with Camilla last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience—it was a great package! However, within the next 24 hours, I had a horrible reaction to something. My skin is usually very resilient and doesn’t peel easily, but it is sensitive to vitamin C.

I realized that about 24 hours after the treatment, I washed my face with an active cleanser. That could have triggered the inflammation, especially since my pores were still open following the deep facial.

Camilla has been absolutely amazing throughout this. She’s been so attentive and supportive in helping me manage the reaction. Hats off to her for her warmth and genuine care!

Lessons learned:

Stop using active ingredients at least a week before and a week after any skin treatments.

Use a gentle cleanser followed by CeraVe Moisturizing Cream morning and night. It’s incredibly healing and contains three essential ceramides for a healthy skin barrier, plus hyaluronic acid—a powerful humectant that boosts hydration.

For an extra moisture boost, layer Vaseline on top at night to lock everything in.
